The gap between the two-seed and the three-seed is one match point.
Smash's case is simple and terrifying: Ryan Hom, Annie Kang and Phoebe Borsum all went a perfect 8–0 in the games sampled, a trio that can win a men's, a women's and a mixed set without ever leaving the court. Big Dink counters with the division's feel-good climb — Jobeth Zapata (5–1) surged up the leaderboard, and captain Richard Hak steadied a 4–2 mark with Eli Henry right beside him.

The most complete team in the division and it isn't especially close. ZERO ZERO TWO wins the women's game outright — their women went a combined 8-for-8 in same-gender sets — and their mixed depth (28–4 across the roster) means there's no soft seat to attack. Kyle U (6–2) and Anthony B (5–2) give the men's lineup enough to hold.
Three players, zero losses between them. Ryan Hom, Annie Kang and Phoebe Borsum are the reason Smash is the only team that can plausibly meet ZERO ZERO TWO in the final — any two of them can win any format. The drop-off comes after: Devin Carroll (6–2) and Kai Pylkkanen (5–3) are solid, but the roster leans on its top three carrying the water.
The deepest roster in the field and the one most dependent on getting its rotation right. Big Dink's men are the strength — a combined 6-for-8 in men's sets — while the women's lineup ran hot and cold at 4-for-8. Jobeth Zapata's climb up the leaderboard (a +9 rank jump) is the storyline; if she and Eli Henry keep their mixed form, Big Dink can push Smash to the brink.
The four-seed earned its spot in the trenches: a +20 differential and a 4–4 season split with Big Dink say every match was decided late. Guilbert Balmaceda logged the most games of anyone on the roster and captain Patrick posted the team's best rate at 4–1. The vulnerability is the women's format, where K'CHN went just 2-for-8 — a number ZZ2 will target relentlessly.
Gender or Mixed?

The division's quiet strategic question is whether titles are won in single-gender play or in mixed — and the top four don't agree on the answer. Mixed is simply where the volume is: the four contenders played 125 mixed games against 31 women's and 32 men's. But volume isn't the same as value.
ZERO ZERO TWO and Smash Society are built on their women's games — both went a perfect 8-for-8 and 7-for-7 respectively in same-gender women's sets, a level nobody else touches.
